Latest NewsManagers Preview | Hellewell looking forward to FA Cup encounter

August 23, 2019

Following Wednesday night’s win over Harrogate Railway we caught up with manager Scott Hellewell for his thoughts on the game and tomorrow’s FA Cup fixture.

“As a management team we were pleased with Wednesday night’s performance against Harrogate Railway although I still don’t think we were at our best, we definitely still have more to come which is pleasing especially as we are on a winning streak.

Harrogate will definitely take points off teams this season, they are well organised and have some good players along with a good backroom staff.

It was nice again to keep a clean sheet as we look solid as a team and to concede only 2 goals in 5 games is very good going.

We now look forward to Saturday for our FA Cup game against Kirby Muxloe, you could say it’s a good draw for us as we are at home against a team who are the same standard as us but along with us they also beat a team from the league above and have started the league campaign well so we will know we are in for a very good test.

We have a fully fit squad to choose from with Josh Nichol, Callum Chapman and Adam Baskerville back with us so we have plenty to choose from. We have lost Jack Turnbull to Lincoln United so we wish him well but we have plenty of competition at RWB and CM so we can certainly deal with his departure.

Roll on Saturday, Up The Rangers”
