Saturday 5th January 2019: 15:00 Kick Off at M Pilbeam Construction Stadium, Armthorpe, Doncaster
The new year starts with Rangers taking a trip down the M180 to the northern outskirts of Doncaster, to yet another of the ex-mining villages surrounding Doncaster. With Rangers claiming 7 out of 9 points over the festive period it has nicely placed us in second place in the table a win away from top spot.
Armthorpe have had some decent results this season, and although having lost their last five fixtures, Ranger’s will be wary of the challenge Armthorpe will surely give on their home ground.
Should he feature in the game, Ranger’s new signing Ryan Thompson will be looking to make an impact following his signing this week, and with Luke Anderson’s four match ban now served, we now have a number of good options in attack.
Rangers fans that sneak a look at our league rivals fixtures this weekend will see that Grimsby Borough have a difficult trip to Glasshoughton, with Campion at home to Ollerton, Hallam at home to AFC Emley, and Nostell away at Rossington. Selby start the new year at home to Shirebrook.
