Saturday 13th April 2019: 15:00 Kick Off at West Street
Rangers will put behind them the unlucky defeat midweek away to Hallam when they play on Saturday as the Team refocuses their efforts on securing a top four finish. A top four finish would bring an extremely valuable place in next season’s FA Cup.
Skegness have had some decent results this season. They have improved as the season has progressed as they adjust to life in a division higher than they have been used to for the past 36 years.
Ranger’s currently sit fourth in the NCEL Division One table, with Nostell one place and one point behind them in fifth. Nostell play away at Glasshoughton on Friday evening. Other NCEL Division One fixtures of interest this weekend are: Swallownest vs Hallam, and what promises to be a cracker of a match in Sheffield as Dronfield host Grimsby Borough. Campion have home advantage as they face Worbrough Bridge. I learnt on Tuesday that apparently Worsbrough is pronounced Wuz-brrr-er, not Wheres-burrow!

Interesting fact about this weekend’s opposite: Former Skegness Town Manager, George Raynor, managed Skegness Town from 1958 to 1960 between spells as the national team manager for Sweden (including taking them to the World Cup Finals). He had managed Lazio previous to becoming Skegness Town Manager.
