Latest NewsMatch Review | Winterton 4 – 1 Worsbrough Bridge

March 7, 2019

Winterton Rangers produced another fantastic home performance to beat Worsbrough Bridge 4-1 on a soaking wet evening at West Street.

Rangers goals came from Noel Burdett, Luke Anderson, Will Peers & Liam Nelthorpe and the 3 points moved us up to 3rd in the table, just 1 point behind Campion in 2nd place and 4 behind the leaders Grimsby Borough.

Manager Scott Hellewell was delighted with this latest win in his after match comments

“Great result again tonight. We started the game very brightly, took an early lead, then we took the foot of the gas a bit but could have had 2 or 3 more. Second half we dominated again, we gave a stupid goal away by over playing at the back but then we upped it again and got a deserved 2nd goal and kicked on from there and could have won even more convincingly.”

“I’m proud of every single one of the lads tonight it was difficult conditions but we stuck to the game plan and got another deserved three points. It was nice to see a few more through the gate this evening and hopefully the last two home games will encourage more to come through the gate.”

“Roll on Saturday.”
